I started doing Chica X as pretty much an infant. I was about 5 years old when I had started a bit of screamo with my dad haha. But the idea of me doing a band happened one night. My family and I were sitting in the living room and my dad had asked me if I wanted to start a band . Of course a little girl my age would say yes. So we wouldn't stop thinking about a name and one thing led to another. My dad blurts out Chica X and everyone liked the name. So at the age of 6 I was recording for my first cd and I was doing my first show. My first show was one of the most exciting but scary thing that ever happened to me. After that one night I knew that was going to be my hobby. For my first show i had about 250 people there and I was so happy my cheeks looked like cherries and I could have cried from joy. As I carried on with the band I got pretty used to the big crowds. But at the ages of about 8-9 I played on a couple of tv shows in Chicago. That couldn't had been more exciting. I played a lot of shows and I always practiced and I am about to at the age of 11 I am about to go on a two week tour in June with my brand new back up band Heart Shaped Hate. I have just gotten off my sebatical. I still feel like a normal child as I play I wouldn't say I am anymore special than any other person. I still wake up and my breath stinks but I have been so joyful that I get to do this for my age. And I hope to get even better as I work up to it.
