Maniqui Lazer was born in Mexicali, B.C. , Mexico in 2005. On 2006, they released their first LP titled I LEARN EVERYTHING ON TV on Mexico City's label SOUNDSISTER. On 2008 they released their second LP titled THE AMAZING KINGDOM OF THE ANIMALS IN THE ZOO: CHAPTER 1 (MAGICAL MEDICINE). This LP was released independently and is free to download on the internet.

Maniqui Lazer mixes noisy sounds and atmospheres with a bass that arouses arteries and neurons, drums with dark and danceable beats with a punk, new wave and noise edge.

The Maniqui Lazer members have always been into experimenting and creating new sounds with whatever is available. VALENTIN TORRES (Vampire Slayer, Letters From Readers), JUNG SING (All Leather, Bye Bye Unicorn, Chrome Eye, Lipstick Terror, Eyes of the Desert) and RODO IBARRA (Bye Bye Unicorn, Chrome Eye, Letters From Readers, Uno Menos) have come together to form this band that is one of  the most important bands in Mexico's underground scene...Simply said They're something you have to experience.
